I got caught in a strange weather event Wednesday afternoon. The hour by hour forecast was clear of rain and the weather radar app on my phone was clear as well. It seemed like a perfect afternoon to pay a visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios for exercise and entertainment.

There were very few clouds in the sky as I set out for the park. As I approached Disney property dark clouds seemed to be hanging over the area, but I was still driving in bright sunshine. Suddenly there was a white wall ahead. It looked a little bit like fog, but turned out to a torrential downpour. Even with my windshield wipers on full speed visibility was difficult. It didn’t last long before calming to a steady rain. After waiting in the parking lot for ten to fifteen minutes the sun was back out and all the clouds were dissipating. It didn’t rain again all night.

My visit to Hollywood Studios was short. I didn’t check the schedule before going. There was a separate admission after hours event scheduled for later in the evening. Crowds started to grow and attraction schedules seemed to be altered. I got in my exercise and watched the new Villains show again, but I didn’t have dinner or wait in line for any other attractions. It was still a fun trip and the rain storm made it very interesting.
