There was only a small threat of rain today. The sun dominated the sky most of the day. Only the presence of a significant breeze out of the southwest with only moderate humidity kept the temperature from being oppressive. The temperature peaked around 90 degrees.

This was lawn mowing day in the RV park. In the week since they last mowed some of the grass got high enough to be unsightly, but most of the grass was still at a reasonable level. The overall quality of the grass cover isn’t the best. There are plenty of sparse areas. The fact that Florida’s rainy season hasn’t really started is evident. Central and South Florida are still in drought conditions. The park grass looks better after the mowing.

Today’s other source of noise pollution was a wood chipper. The tree service returned to clean up some of their mess from yesterday. They chipped the branches they dropped yesterday. When I walked by the area this evening the cut up logs were still there. It was just the items with leaves attached that got chipped and removed. Maybe the campground is going to turn it into fire wood.

The campground is in the process of changing from weekday mode to weekend mode. The last couple of nights there have only been a few new arrivals. Tonight there are about ten new occupants including one or two in the cabins. I expect more will arrive for the weekend tomorrow. It will be Friday even though I don’t know where the week went.
